I’ve known Copper John for about 4 years now. He’s lived on the streets in the Little Five Points neighborhood for about 15 years. John sits on the curb and makes trinkets and jewelry out of scrap metal and sells them. I’ve never witnessed him beg. Somehow he always has a smile on his face.
Every time I see him he says “Hey man, when you gonna bring me one of those pictures you took of me”. I need to get on that.

It HAS to.very few people like yourself exist.
Believe me,its exhausting sometimes to explain to people that my illness does not make me unintelligent or any less deserving.(maybe doesnt fit this post as a comment,but i liked the article .
